BioI met my lovely wife Amy (Frostmuffin) at Michigan State University in 1976. We married while I attended graduate school at the University of Kentucky. I picked up a Ph.D. in math at Ohio State University. Now we have two cute and ferocious daughters, who will both be attending Valparaiso University in the fall.
I make my living as a mathematician for the Department of Defense. I haven't completely given up my old college professor habits; for example, I help out with the USA Mathematical Talent Search contest (see www.usamts.org if you are not math phobic). Amy is the director of music for the Saturday worship service at Peace Lutheran Church. The church knows me best as the guy who bakes lots of chocolate chip cookies.
